Now, I've read this memoir cover to cover. And I can honestly tell you it is one of the most authentic, open, genuine accounts that I feel allows someone to claim back their narrative. And I recommend you read it as well.

It was definitely very difficult and emotional, but extremely just therapeutic. Just putting it all out there, because it's so much that I've held on to for so long, and so many things that I've never told anyone, like things I've never even wanted to say out loud, because I didn't even want to think that they were real. But it's just been the most healing experience of my life.

It's actually been something that has been therapeutic. It's been healthier than unhealthy.

I'm so happy that I did my audio book as well, because I think it's important for people to hear the story from the person who wrote it.

"

I think it was in your book you said like the producers came to you and they were like play the dumb blonde like play it up like and I think what was so interesting is like that is then like it is kind of like how America then saw you. It's like this like rich dumb blonde girl.

The world thinks of me as a sex symbol and I'm here for that because symbol literally means icon but when people saw that sex tape they didn't say icon they said slut and they said whore.

How Did This Get Made?

It was initially perceived as typical, but it became compelling as it detailed her harrowing experiences at a wealthy boarding school, including abusive practices and cover-ups.

"

It starts off and you are like, okay, it's a little like exactly what you expect. And it kind of just like, it just kind of frost the cake to be like, okay, well I'm here. I'm here. I don't know.

And then Jason, it switches to a point where you're like, I was riveted and it really revolves around for a lack of a, to just abbreviate it as much as I can. She's a bad girl gets sent to a very rich sleepaway school boarding school.

That's going to correct the bad behavior and rich kids. And it is an incredibly abusive place where essentially it has been shut down because they compare the torture that they gave to these kids. Like like the torture that you would get as a prisoner of war, uh, torture, like kids died from the things that they at the school and they, and there was covered up and it's all been now found out.

It is harrowing. And she was there and what it did more than anything, her tenacity through surviving this is otherworldly.

It's honestly like real life Matilda.
