Things would randomly fall over Such as a broom or coat rack Or tumble off of the window ledges There are three large windows On the exterior wall of the lobby That look out onto the yard And crash onto the floor Loud bangs from the lobby Also caught my attention And left me a little nervous As I was the only one home When much of this happened in the beginning
One winter evening in 2018 I was home alone And riding as usual at the desk by the window That looks out into the lobby from our living room I was startled by a sudden series of bangs On the other side of the wall
I knew immediately these sounds were different And not simply a broom falling over Or a set of keys dropping from the window ledge This bang sounded hard and loud Like a deliberate donkey kick Against a piece of furniture
We've become more than used to the level of creepiness That our home exudes
