Joyce Maynard wrote the book To Die For and the movie that they made from it. She went so far as to say that there is a lot of her imagination at work in it. And so she doesn't really want people to use it as evidence against Pamela either way. I mean, for or against her. I mean, it's a movie. It's a story. It's been fictionalized.
But like she said, though, the movie's based off true events. So why would that even be in the movie if it wasn't in a police statement or some other kind of testimony? She wouldn't have put it in there.
