So many of them are unsigned but it's when you look at it it's really like they're all different. Like some are like real as some are abstract some are impressionistic.

So Sybil's a smash hit it's based on the wave the first wave that was brought about by All About Eve and the public is just fully aware of multiple personality disorders like these two are like the cream of the crop.

But then the book Sybil was published in 1973, followed by two film adaptations telling the allegedly true story of a woman with multiple personalities. And coincidentally, since that movie and the book came out, the diagnoses skyrocketed from there. The only problem is that Sybil was a fraud.

that this is how split personalities work in movies and TV shows, not in real life. There was a bestselling book called Sybil back in the 70s. I think they made a movie about the book as well.

And that's the one that first popularized this concept of multiple personality disorder. In that book the patient Sybil, real name Shirley Mason, has a condition that works kind of like what you see in the TikTok videos.

People in those communities in particular have worked so hard after movies like Split and Sybil have come out to break the stigma of people with disassociative mental health disorders as being monstrous murderers with no selfcontrol.

The author who wrote the book, Sybil, will interview him and end up writing a book about him.
